Wallpaper Installation Guide

Step 1

Measure your walls- The First Step to a Perfect Wallpaper Installation

Before transforming your space with our custom-made wallpaper, murals, or bespoke digital printing, getting accurate wall measurements is always essential. By taking the right and accurate measurements help reduce wastage and ensure a flawless fit.

A precise approach will make the installation smoother and more professional. Get it right from the start, and your mural wallpaper will enhance your interior decor beautifully.

Step 2

Wall Preparation - The Key to Long-Lasting Wallpaper

Once you’ve measured your wall, the next crucial step is proper wall preparation. Many overlook this stage, but it is one of the most important factors in ensuring your wallpaper or mural remains durable and flawless over time. A well-prepared surface prevents peeling, bubbling, and premature wear.

Follow these guidelines to get your walls ready for a seamless and long-lasting installation:

Clean & Smooth the Surface

If working with drywall, refer to our guide on wallpaper removal and preparation for best results.

Prime for Better Coverage

If your wall has strong color variations, priming helps create a neutral base, preventing color bleed-through and ensuring a vibrant mural or wallpaper finish.

Taking these steps will help you achieve a perfectly applied custom-made wallpaper, elevating your interior design with a high-end, bespoke aesthetic.

Step 3

Installing Your Wallpaper - Achieve a Seamless & Neat Finish

With accurate measurements and proper wall preparation complete, it’s time for the most exciting step—installing your custom-made wallpaper or mural. Careful installation ensures a smooth, long-lasting, and professional finish. Follow these key steps for best results:

Mark Your Starting Point

Use a level and pencil to draw a vertical guideline where your first wallpaper panel will be placed.

This ensures the wallpaper is straight, even if your walls or ceilings aren’t perfectly aligned.

Apply Wallpaper Adhesive

Thoroughly apply the wallpaper adhesive evenly onto the wall or the back of the wallpaper evenly.

Work in sections to prevent the glue from drying out before application.

Align & Apply the First Panel

Position the first wallpaper or mural panel along the guideline, leaving a slight overlap at the top and bottom for trimming.

Gently smooth it down using a wallpaper brush or squeegee, working from the center outward to remove air bubbles.

Continue with the Next Panels

Align each subsequent panel edge-to-edge for a seamless look.

Ensure patterns align perfectly, especially for bespoke mural designs that create a full artwork effect.

Trim the Excess

Use a sharp utility knife to trim excess wallpaper along the ceiling, baseboard, and corners for a clean finish.

Final Smoothing & Inspection

Go over the entire surface with a soft cloth or roller to eliminate any remaining bubbles or wrinkles.

Wipe away any excess adhesive with a damp sponge.

By following these steps, your designer wallpaper will enhance your interior decor with a flawless and long-lasting result, bringing a customized and high-end aesthetic to your space.
